JULIE TALBOTT


Julie Talbott is a veteran radio industry executive whose career is highlighted by her leadership of both Premiere Networks and MJI Broadcasting, two leading syndication companies. Over her decades-long tenure in radio broadcasting, she has become one of the most influential figures in the industry.

Starting in 1998, Talbott took on a series of leadership positions within Premiere Networks. She held senior management roles in marketing, affiliate relations and content creation before assuming a Chief Operating Officer role. She was named President of Premiere Networks in 2014 and continues to lead the largest radio network in the industry. The company oversees more than 100 radio programs and services, including those hosted by Radio Hall of Fame inductees Ryan Seacrest, Sean Hannity, Steve Harvey, Glenn Beck, Delilah, The Breakfast Club, Angela Yee, Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick. During her tenure, Premiere Networks has consistently achieved both the largest audience reach and revenue of any radio network in the history of the medium year after year. 

From 1980 to 1998, Talbott served as Chief Operating Officer of MJI Broadcasting, a company founded by Josh Feigenbaum. The company was acquired by Premiere Networks in 1988, which had established itself as a formidable syndicator of both programs and services, including long-term alliances with the Country Music Association and the Grammys, in addition to introducing a significant number of music-based syndicated programs. 

She began her career at BBDO Advertising, gaining valuable experience in both media planning and buying before moving into the radio industry. 

Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including Radio Ink’s Legend of the Year, the Mentoring & Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) Frances Preston Trailblazer Award, and the Jeff Smulyan Award. Talbott is known as a mentor and advocate for women in broadcasting, creating opportunities for hundreds of individuals with a similar passion for the radio industry.  Talbott is widely respected for both her strong industry relationships and exceptional business acumen.  

In 2025, Julie Talbott was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
