BOB & SHERI

Bob Lacey and Sheri Lynch hosted a long-running, nationally syndicated morning music and talk program for adult contemporary music formatted radio stations. The program first aired in 1992 on WBT-FM (later WLNK-FM) in Charlotte, North Carolina, and gained a loyal following for its authentic and relatable style. Both Bob and Sheri tapped into the interests and experiences of women, offering relatable content that resonated with a broad audience. Their chemistry, humor, and their candid sharing of the details of their lives quickly developed an authentic connection with their fans—both on-air and through social media—helping them build a loyal following. In pioneering a programming style that appeals to female audiences, they created a new standard for morning drive radio programming.

Bob Lacey, already an established radio and TV broadcaster, brought a sharp wit and dry humor to the show. Sheri Lynch introduced authenticity, candor and comic wit at a time when women in leading roles were rare. Listeners knew their chemistry was real: They had mutual respect and were close friends. This genuine connection was a key ingredient and a compelling reason why listeners were so fiercely loyal.

The program was the first Adult Contemporary morning show in syndication. It has been syndicated in more than 70 U.S. cities and also maintained a strong digital presence through podcasts and social media, reaching millions of fans worldwide. Through decades of change in culture, Bob & Sheri has remained a consistent voice in morning radio. Bob Lacey retired from the program in 2025, while Sheri Lynch continues to host the show, supported by other cast members, on radio stations nationwide.

In 2025, Bob Lacey and Sheri Lynch were inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
